The Halki Apartment Crawl

The people that came to Halki for the celebration all stayed in different places in the town. We mostly had apartments and we decided that we should hold an apartment crawl one night. The idea was that each family or group in each apartment would host drinks for half an hour. We would then move onto the next apartment where more drinks of a different variety awaited. Yes, you can see already that this was going to get messy!

We began over on the opposite side of the village to us where the 'English mob" were staying. We started at 4.30 - there were many apartments to visit!

Getting started at apartment 1.

Some of "The English mob" warming up. There were plentiful drinks on offer here.

On a beach trip, some people found this old ball and promptly named him 'Wilson' (from the movie 'Castaway'). Wilson stayed with us for the whole apartment crawl....

Apartment 2 - complete with gorgeous gazebo.

Apartment 3 - Wendy and John (another bloody John!)

Courtney and co.

The walks between the apartments was wonderful. We explored all different parts of the town.

Apartment 4. All this walking and drinking is hot and thirsty work!

Apartment 5 - lots of merry smiles by now!

Apartment 6 - this was ours. A highlight was the talented rendition of "I'd love to have a beer with Duncan"! Thanks for being the music man Mark!

Wilson enjoyed hanging out in the light fittings.

Apartment 7 - things really started getting rowdy now.

Dancing Queens reign supreme!

So much fun!

Even John was dancing on the chairs!

Apartment 8 and the Tequila is flowing! And John's still dancing on the chairs!

The last stop was John and Val's 100 year old house. Guess where John took this photo from? Yep - a chair! Cheers!

Wilson put in a stellar performance making it all the way through to dinner at the pizza restaurant. He was looking a little worse for wear though. He was somewhat deflated by the whole experience!

It was one of those brilliant nights that I for one will never forget. Thanks to all those involved in making it so much fun!
